A Happy Canyon AVA and Ballard Canyon AVA blend of 100% Sauvignon Blanc, this tank fermented wine is crisp, clean, and delicious. Tropical and citrus aromas define the aromatics with bright acidity and mineral flavors highlighting the palate.
A blend of 43% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 14% Mourvèdre and 8% Counoise, the 2015 Cuvée le Bec has a medium garnet-purple color and is scented of cherry pie, raspberry preserves and spice cake with hints of potpourri, baking spices and black pepper. Full-bodied and decadently fruited in the mouth, the spicy red berry preserves flavors are well-framed by rounded tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and peppery.
A fabulous value that delivers on all accounts, the inky colored 2014 Syrah Purisima Mountain (100% Syrah aged 16 months in 35% new French oak) knocks it out of the park with its ripe, decadent black fruits, barbecue smoke, licorice and smoked meat-laced aromas and flavors. Rich, fat and unctuous on the palate, with plenty of freshness and purity, it tastes like it costs two to three times the price.
