Prunier X.O. Cognac, France (750 ml) Pierre Ferrand Abel Grande Champagne Cognac (750 ml) Delamain Tres Venerable Grande Champagne Cognac (750 ml)
Prunier XO Cognac is a very old Grande Champagne Cognac crafted from a blend of old cognacs of different styles and characters, some up to 50 years old. After distillation, it is matured for a minimum of 20 years and offers a bold and robust flavor profile, with notes of citrus and vanilla, candied oranges, honeyed oak, spice, vanilla and caramel on the palate with a long and slightly sweet finish.
This is a brandy with a dark side, featuring intense, sticky-sweet notes of cola, allspice, clove and toffee, with some alcohol warmth on the finish. The concentrated nature of this Cognac would make it a match for equally intense chocolaty desserts.

The complex bouquet features scents of holiday spice, vanilla bean, marzipan, candied almond, honey, old sweet oak, and dark toffee. The palate entry is fruity and spirity warm; the midpalate includes tastes of honey, orange peel, baked pear, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa, and rancio. Finishes as elegantly and assertively as it began.
A. Hardy Noces De Diamant Grande Champagne Cognac (750 ml) Hennessy 'Richard Hennessy' Cognac NV (750 ml) Louis XIII de Remy Martin Grande Champagne Cognac NV (1.75 Liter)
Topaz color. Opening bouquet is compelling as biscuity, spicy, botanical waves of black pepper, milk chocolate and oaky vanilla vie for dominance; bouquet turns fruity, ripe, mildly spirity and leathery later on. Palate entry is firmly structured, candied, grapy and appropriately woody-resiny; midpalate is rich, grapy, honeyed, marzipan-like and nougaty. Aftertaste is ripely sweet. Loved it from start to finish.
WE 96-100

The nosing passes discover seductive aromas of hazelnut, butterscotch, spice cake, pipe tobacco and honey. The palate entry offers succulent flavors of toasted bread, blueberries and light toffee; the midpalate features delightful tastes of brown sugar, cocoa, butterscotch, lychee, oak, vanilla, rancio, nougat and black plum. Concludes with elegance and grace.

The aroma features fig, prune, pastry dough, honey and maple scents. On palate, Louis XIII offers long and intensely woody flavors; additional layers of flavor, including figs, dates, prunes, dried apricot and vanilla, are featured at midpalate. Finishes elegantly, warm, smooth and more oaky than fruity succulent.
